The number of scenarios is probably as many as people who wants to help or wants help.
If you need help
If you feel you need help when you are under threat and you do not dare (or can) raise your voice. Show the iSign as clearly as you can without showing the one who's threatening you. If we assume that most people know what this sign means, there is a good chance that someone will come to rescue and ask if everything is ok with you.
When you want to help
You want to help or intervene and you are afraid to raise your voice as you may be exposed to danger yourself. Show the iSign clearly to the environment (without the perpetrators seeing it), when you see that more people show the sign, then you know that you are not alone.
